Meet Our Newest Area Sales Manager – Axel Dahl

As Area Sales Manager and Key Account Manager focusing on Scandinavia, Axel Dahl has already established a strong position within Rosenqvists Food Technologies’ sales team. This first year has been all about stepping into the role, learning the business in depth, and building strong relationships with customers and colleagues — a year of growth and learning.

He describes Rosenqvists as an incredibly competent company, where deep technical knowledge meets true innovation. What excites him most is the technical complexity of our solutions and the chance to engage in discussions that range from advanced oil flow systems to everyday production challenges. For him, the combination of expertise, innovation, and close collaboration with customers makes the work truly rewarding.

🗯️The snacks market in Scandinavia is currently experiencing a strong resurgence. As our home market, we have a long history of success here, and this renewed activity brings exciting opportunities to help customers expand, modernize, and optimize their production.

Our focus on innovation and customer success ensures strong partnerships and solutions designed to meet evolving market demands and open for new opportunities, Axel says.

Outside of work, he spends most of his time with friends and family. With a fiancée and a soon-to-be three-year-old daughter, much of his free time is happily dedicated to them.

Framtidsmässan 14 oktober 2025

Kom och träffa oss på Framtidsmässan den 14 oktober, kl 9-19 på Kristianstad Arena.

Vi kommer tillsammans med Rosenqvists Mekaniska Verkstad finnas på plats hela dagen för att inspirera, svara på frågor och visa på hur kul det är att jobba inom tillverkningsindustrin!

Vi ser framemot att träffa dig som är på väg mot din framtida yrkeskarriär. Vad krävs det för att jobba som svetsare? Ingenjör? Inom industrin? Tjej inom industrin? Det kan vi svara på!

Meet Dries De Block – Area Sales Manager with a Global Perspective

Dries is responsible for sales across a remarkably diverse region, covering BENELUX, France, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Oceania. With such a broad scope, he is constantly navigating a wide range of market dynamics and customer needs—something he thrives on.

🗯There is strong momentum and significant investment in the French Fries sector, particularly in Belgium, the Netherlands, and France, as well as in Australia and parts of Asia. On the other hand, the snack market is currently experiencing a slower pace in terms of investment, although I see some activity in my area in regions like France and Japan” Dries explains.

What keeps Dries energized is not just the market—it is the people. “I really value our company culture. Even with the high pace we have had over the past couple of years, there’s a strong focus on collaboration and genuine connection across departments – always with a focus of customer needs. That kind of support behind the scenes helps us deliver better service, faster solutions, and long-term partnerships.”

With over 15 years of experience in the potato industry, Dries has built a solid network and developed a deep passion for the French Fries segment. His current focus is on validating several ongoing projects and strengthening relationships with both new and existing customers—especially as the team moves toward a more structured key account approach.

Outside his dedicated sales role, Dries enjoys life as a dad to two active daughters—often on the move between hobbies and weekend activities. He is also enjoys music festivals, playing padel, and spending time with friends and loved ones. That balance between work and personal life helps him stay grounded and approachable—something customers genuinely really appreciate in their day-to-day collaboration with him.

Möt våra sommarjobbare

I sommar har vi glädjen att ha två fantastiska sommarjobbare hos oss på vår konstruktionsavdelning. Vi ställde samma frågor till båda om hur det är att sommarjobba hos oss – här är vad de svarade:

Namn: Jonathan & Elof

Utbildning: Civilingenjör inom Maskinteknik på LTH – med inriktning produktutveckling samt Civilingenjör inom Maskinteknik, Linköpings universitet.

Varför sökte ni sommarjobb hos Rosenqvists Food Technologies?

Jonathan: För att få praktisk erfarenhet av industrin och en inblick i hur ingenjörsarbete går till i verkligheten. Jag sökte ett företag som ligger i framkant inom innovation och produktutveckling, vilket Rosenqvists Food Technologies gör!

Elof: Jag sökte ett sommarjobb som är i linje med mina studier, med fokus mot tillverkning och utveckling. Rosenqvists Food Technologies fångade mitt intresse tack vare att företaget satsar på design, utveckling och innovation – vilket jag tyckte lät spännande och inspirerande.

Vad gör ni som sommarjobbare hos Rosenqvists Food Technologies?

Jonathan: Jag arbetar på ingenjörsavdelningen där jag får stötta i olika projekt, arbeta i CAD och uppdatera ritningar. Det ger mig värdefulla insikter i hur våra maskiner designas och byggs för att ta råvaror som potatis och nötter till färdiga produkter som snacks och chips.

Elof: Jag är på ingenjörsavdelningen och CAD ritar olika komponenter till Rosenqvists Food Technologies maskiner.

Hur är det att sommarjobba hos Rosenqvists Food Technologies – roligaste, svåraste?

Jonathan: Det roligaste är att få jobba så nära produkterna och få se hela processen, från idé till färdig maskin. Det svåraste är att hinna lära sig allt på så kort tid.

Elof:  Det är otroligt kul att få arbeta med CAD i praktiken. Jag har hamnat i ett team där alla är hjälpsamma, trevliga och generösa med sin kunskap. Det gör stor skillnad – att få stöd och tydliga förklaringar när man stöter på utmaningar uppskattas verkligen. Det tar lite tid att komma in i nya program, men med så bra support går det snabbt framåt.

Vår Konstruktionschef/handledare Carl-Magnus Rosryd tillägger:

🗨️ För oss handlar det om mer än bara extra hjälp under sommaren. Vi vill vara en arbetsplats som inspirerar och utvecklar framtidens ingenjörstalanger. Genom att erbjuda sommarjobb ger vi unga möjligheten att få värdefull erfarenhet i verkliga projekt – samtidigt som vi får värdefull stöttning i vårt arbete med att standardisera och effektivisera våra konstruktionsprocesser. Det är en win-win – för både oss och framtidens ingenjörer. Och ett steg i att vara en arbetsgivare som satsar på kompetens, utveckling och framtid.

Second up is: Kamel Hamade – our dedicated Area Sales Manager for the Middle East and North Africa

With over 15 years of experience from packaging and processing industry, Kamel Hamade nowadays plays a pivotal role at Rosenqvists Food Technologies. As Area Sales Manager for the Middle East and North Africa, he acts more as a trusted advisor than a traditional salesperson – guiding customers through decisions, to find solutions tailored to their unique needs.

According to Mr. Hamade, the market in his region is expanding fast, with particularly strong demand for French Fries – a product that now accounts for approximate 80% of all customer inquiries.

🗯 “More people are choosing ready-made fried potato products instead of preparing potatoes at home” he explains.  “It is about saving time and money – cultural habits are changing”.

While French Fries requests dominate the market, demand for snacks and others remains steady. Kamel is equally committed to supporting customers in these product areas, ensuring that Rosenqvists’ offerings align with both market trends and cultural preferences. A key part of his role to bridging the gap between customer expectations and Rosenqvists’ innovative technologies.

What Kamel enjoys most about working at Rosenqvists Food Technologies is the shared vision and strong team spirit. “Everyone here is committed to delivering the best for our customers” he says. “And of course – when I am at office, I love the Swedish FIKA breaks!”

Beyond his professional role, Kamel draws inspiration and balance from family life. Time spent with his children fuels the energy and focus he brings to every customer interaction.

First up is: Fredrik Edlind – Our Area Sales Manager

As Area Sales Manager for Germany, Switzerland, Austria, the United Kingdom, and Ireland, as well as Key Account Manager – Fredrik is a key figure in Rosenqvists Food Technologies’ international sales team. With several years of experience, he acts as a bridge between our customers’ needs and our technical solutions, always with the goal to create long-term value and with a commitment to being a trusted partner.

Fredrik is more than just a salesperson – he is a strategic advisor with deep technical expertise who is involved from the first contact to final solution to ensure that each client receives the support they need to succeed. This makes him a valuable in complex client dialogues where innovation, efficiency, and product quality are in focus.

🥔 “We’re currently seeing strong interest in new snack products – especially in chips and nuts. Many customers are eager to explore new raw materials, flavors, and preparation methods. That’s where we step in as an active development partner, contributing with our innovative solutions.”

When new products and innovation are in focus, we are happy to help our clients stay ahead – for example, by acting as a test partner in development projects.

💬 What makes your job especially rewarding?
