Of course, is it up to you what to purchase, but we will be keen to advice you for remaining machines good conditions.

An example of Inspection Service Report:

During service, minor faults can be detected before they become major and costly damage. For example, components that are worn out and could cause damage on the machines if not replaced in time.

Key Business Outlook for 2025

With the Fruit Logistica exhibition in February 5-7th in Berlin, Germany, our CEO Mr. Stefan Björk was interviewed by Potato Business to give our Key Business Outlook for 2025.

1. Considering the market volatility, supply chain disruptions, energy costs, and workforce scarcity, what does this past year look like for your company when you draw the line?

It has been an exciting year for us at Rosenqvists Food Technologies for which we are grateful. We managed to agree on project plans for classic and coated french fries, renovation of existing frying system to improve oil quality, stackable chips production, snack pellets and potato specialties. The projects are more and more demanding which forces our company to grow and our designs to be even more efficient. Every day teaches us something new and we are ready to adapt and learn together with our clients. During the year, we have expanded our internal and external production capacity and recruited new colleagues.

2. What are your expectations for next year, keeping in mind the legacy of 2024, but also the current challenges?

Luckily, we are engaged in a food sector where companies are investing for future growth and product development. On a global scale, the demand for french fries and potato chips are continuing to grow. This means that Rosenqvists Food Technologies will continue expanding also in 2025.

Special highlights are an R&D project for the next generation of potato chips fryers. Aiming to develop the most energy efficient solution ever designed. Other projects we look forward to is to further develop our coating line product reducing losses of batter when coating and frying, and to develop our distribution range products.

3. How do you estimate the market will evolve and what is your priority list for 2025?

Our objective is to do what we can to follow the growth plans of our clients. This means that we need to stay flexible being prepared for projects all over the world.

4. Where did the growth opportunities come from and what is the most important lesson you have learned in recent times?

Our clients are viewing lowest possible cost of ownership. With this in mind, we try to live up to expectations when it comes to production hours, maintenance, waste and input utilities. We will never be satisfied and will proceed our continuous efforts in our designs dedicated towards low cost of ownership.

5. What strategies are you implementing to maintain a competitive edge in an increasingly saturated market? How do you prioritize your investments versus your R&D efforts?

We go to work to help our clients to produce tasty french fries, potato specialties, potato chips or snacks. We understand that our clients experience important drivers for change such as quality analysis, energy recovery, lack of skilled labor, potato genetics, water scarcity, food safety, industry 4.0 and by-product handling. For Rosenqvists Food Technologies strategy moving forward is aiming to provide solutions which will help our clients to address the above opportunities/challenges. We will continue our strive, to learn more about the process know-how, advanced thermal design solutions and enable smart automation based on key data, all with the overall objective to lower total cost of ownership for our clients.

6. What was unexpected in 2024 and how did it impact your business?

We continue to fight to maintain our costs at a satisfactory level within a fastmoving world where inflation, currencies, and raw material prices still are fluctuating. We are growing a bit under pressure but at a healthy level, which keep us on our toes – driving constant development of our business skills and controlling.

7. Which are the most important drivers of change for your business in 2025? How do you plan to prepare for them?

The international business climate is strong and the willingness to invest and do business together is unchanged. Nevertheless, one can’t help to worry about the security and geopolitical situations present. At Rosenqvists Food Technologies, we believe in a continued strong global economy based on cooperation and free trade.

8. What would you like to see happening in 2025 for your stakeholders and business environment (in terms of policy, regulations, and market) in order for your business to thrive more?

On our wish list for 2025 is a break-through in green technology allowing significant reductions in carbon footprint aiming for production applications where large amount of energy is required. We hope for updated food safety regulations in Europe with realistic aims for acrylamide and glycoalkaloids in potato-based products. Beside these, we just want to continue to support our clients to grow and to produce great products for end consumers.

9. What is your vision for the industry over the next five years, and how does your company plan to contribute to its growth?

In five years, we have managed to establish sales and service support in North America and Asia with more possibilities to manufacture closer to our clients. We have a new generation of fryers for potato chips as well as leading designs for drying, coating and frying of french fries and frying potato specialties. For the increasing nut production, we can offer the best frying and cooling system with no waste of oil and short production stops. I am confident that there will be a lot of great things happening in Rosenqvists future. Thank you – all clients around the world who help us to develop, improve and become better for you!

More production area and office spaces

During 2024 we experienced an increased market demand for Rosenqvists Food Technologies product range. We needed to expand production area in Gringelstad and office in Kristianstad to meet these increased demands, maintaining our high level of service.

CEO Mr. Stefan Björk, Rosenqvists Food Technologies and Rosenqvists Mekaniska Verkstad, stated in December 2024:

“So nice ending 2024 realizing that in 2025 we will continue our fast growth journey. With a very strong order book, a strengthened market position and of course continued internal recruitment in all directions and corners of our organization. Let’s go!”

In our pleasant workshop in Gringelstad, Rosenqvists Mekaniska Verkstad now has access to additional production space, since our sister company Rosenqvists Irrigation has moved to new premises. This provides Rosenqvists Mekaniska Verkstad with the possibility to increase production capacity, optimizing workflows and continued internal recruitments. A great development for us and our customers.

Office in Kristianstad has further been expanded to allow growth and continued internal recruitments. The new offices do not only offer a functional space but also a pleasant work environment which promotes collaboration and innovation.

“We are very happy with the opportunity these important steps mean for us and our continued development of our business”, says CEO Stefan Björk.

Reflections from Interpom 2024 in Kortrijk

Attending Interpom 2024 was an absolute pleasure, and we’re certain we weren’t alone in feeling inspired by the event. The exhibition truly encapsulated everything crucial for potato cultivation, handling, and processing. It’s the ultimate destination for anyone passionate about the potato industry. Thank you to belgapom and Kortrijk Xpo for a nice and well-arranged exhibition!

As a company, Rosenqvists Food Technologies, focused on processing equipment that enhances yield, efficiency, and maintenance, we are deeply impressed by the industry’s relentless drive for innovation. The abundance of top-quality seed potatoes for diverse applications was remarkable, and it’s exciting to imagine the possibilities that advancements in gene-editing technology might bring. It was equally encouraging to see companies investing in improved analytics, which we can leverage to ensure more consistent processing outcomes. And, of course, testing products from some of the world’s most renowned French fry brands was an undeniable highlight!

At the Rosenqvists Food Technologies stand, visitors had the opportunity to learn about our latest advancements in potato processing. We are immensely proud of how our innovations contribute to improved oil quality, reduced batter mix waste, and increased production efficiency for our clients. Our commitment to advancing processing technologies remains as strong as ever.

If you’re planning a new processing line for French fries, hash browns or other formed products, we’d love to connect with you. We’re eager to showcase our cutting-edge drying systems, coating lines, double-frying systems, and frying systems tailored for potato specialties.

Thank you for visiting Interpom 2024 and our stand. We look forward to continuing to partner with you in driving excellence in potato processing.

Let’s continue innovate potato processing together!

MEET ROSENQVISTS FOOD TECHNOLOGIES AT INTERPOM, BELGIUM 24-26th NOVEMBER 2024

We strongly believe in a positive future for the food industry and by participate as exhibitors at Interpom, we want to show how we can be your long-time reliable partner into the future.

Do you have wishes, ideas and plans for french fries or potato specialties products? Please come by our stand number 138 to get inspired and discuss with our team how our solutions can be a part of your future.

At Interpom we will show our frying system which is tailored for potato specialties. Our frying system is designed to overcome common challenges in frying, such as maintaining oil quality, ensuring product consistency, and achieving extended production hours without interruptions.

Classic french fries or coated french fries? No matter which way you choose, we have during many years optimized our processing lines for french fries and we can proudly present solutions which will support you to produce your product. We continue our strive for the lowest oil volumes. In our design for 15-20 tons/hour coated french fries, we save more than 300 litres of circulated oil. This means roughly a difference of 20 minutes in oil turnover rate which can be critical under certain production criteria’s.

Coating and Double-Frying system

The coating line is further improved to minimize waste, provide better cleanability and as a consequence extended production hours – lowering production cost.

We are also proud to show our latest design of drying systems. Improved hygiene and cleanability means longer production hours. After some years of experience, we are also pleased to conclude the relatively low maintenance costs for this system.

We look forward to meeting you and welcome you to our stand number 138 at Interpom, Belgium 24-26th November 2024.

Let’s innovate potato processing together!
